Halloween Puppy Chow

Puppy Chow (aka Muddy Buddies) is one of those treats that make me think of the holidays. I make it every year and my whole family loves it. I never thought about making it for any other time of year until Sophie came up with the idea of adding Reese’s Pieces to it. (I know, right? Why didn’t I think of that.) The brown and orange color turned the puppy chow into a fun fall treat.

Puppy Chow is easy to make too! Here’s what you need:

Ingredients

8 c. Rice Chex
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. Reese’s Pieces

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate chips in a medium saucepan over low heat. Add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
  2.  Remove from heat, add chocolate mixture to the cereal in a large bowl and stir until coated.
  3. Pour powdered sugar into a gallon bag, add chocolate-coated Rice Chex, zip the bag, and shake until covered.
  4. Add Reese’s Pieces and store in an airtight container.

Yum, right? And so easy to make! For more delicious and easy recipe ideas, check out the Recipe Box page!
