Friday is recipe day! Today’s special: Loaded Crock Pot Spaghetti.
I enjoy sharing recipes on Friday because if like what you see, you’ll have all weekend to give it a try. I’m married to my Crock Pot and Instant Pot so you’ll see a lot of those, you’ll also be seeing some easy recipes for the oven and maybe a more complicated one every once in a while (But only because it’s totally worth it!). My cooking style is Mamaw. You read that right. I cook the kind of food that my grandma used to cook. The kind that fills your belly and your soul, it’s made with love, and makes the house smell amazing. But enough of that for now! How about this Loaded Spaghetti?
My kids love the basic sauce, ground beef and noodles recipe. But even they like to switch it up every now and then. So I added ingredients that they like on their pizza–cheese, pepperonis, green peppers, onions and mushrooms, threw it together in the Crock Pot, and Loaded Spaghetti was born. Ready to try it? Here’s what you need:
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 family size jar of spaghetti sauce
1 c. shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
1 c. mini pepperonis
1/2 c. chopped onions (I use frozen chopped onions)
1/2 c. chopped green peppers (I use frozen chopped green peppers)
8 oz. sliced mushrooms
2 tsp. dried oregano
2 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 package spaghetti noodles, cooked al dente
- Brown hamburger in a skillet over medium heat. Drain, and pour into the Crock Pot.
- Add spaghetti sauce, vegetables, mini pepperonis, cheese and spices. Stir until all ingredients are mixed together.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours, until cheese has completely melted.
- About 15 minutes before it’s ready, stir in cooked spaghetti, or serve over spaghetti. Top with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
