Fourth of July Patriotic Windsock

One of our favorite summer crafts that the kids make year after year is a Fourth of July Patriotic Windsock.  It’s simple to make and your kids are going to love displaying their windsock for everyone to see. If you don’t have aluminum cans that you can use, try an empty oatmeal or breadcrumb container.

Here’s what you need:

Supplies

Aluminum can, cleaned and dry (I used a 29 oz. can)
Krylon True Blue Gloss Spray Paint
Glitter star stickers
Red and white ribbon (I used 1 1/2″ wide ribbon)
Glue gun, glue sticks
String

Directions

Spray paint the aluminum can.

When dry, decorate the cans with stars and attach the ribbon streamers with a glue gun to the bottom of the can.

Poke 2 holes in the top of the can with a screwdriver or drill and run string through it, tying the knot on the inside of the can. All that’s left to do now is to hang it up!
